WASHTech is present in Ghana and is coordinated by TREND Group. The three institutions leading the project in Ghana are Training, Research and Networking for Development (TREND)/RCN; Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), and WaterAid Ghana.

The team piloted the TAF on the following technologies (click on name to find out more):

  1. Biofill Toilet in Greater Accra and Central Regions
  2. Enviroloo in Kumasia
  3. Ghana Modified India Mark II in Ashanti Region
  4. Pourflush in Ejisu-Juaben Municipality
  5. Rope Pump in Bolgatanga Municipality and Bongo District
  6. Slow Sand Filtration System in Central Tongu and Ho West, Volta Region
